SunSirs: The Buying Atmosphere Was Average, and PS Prices Fell

According to the analysis system of the commodity market of SunSirs, the average price of PS at the beginning of this week was 9,700 RMB/ton, and the average price of PS at the weekend was 9,650 RMB/ton, with a price increase of 0.52% and a decrease of 5.39% compared to the same period last year.

Analysis review

Mainstream brand reference quotation without tax: Ningbo Taihua 535N was quoted 9,500-9,600 RMB/ton, Shanghai SECCO 123P was quoted 9,250 RMB/ton, Thai Petrochemical 150 was quoted 9,170 RMB/ton, Guangzhou Petrochemical 525 was quoted 9,180 RMB/ton, 660 was quoted 9,450 RMB/ton; Hong Kong Petrochemical quoted a price of 10,000 RMB/ton for goods in 1841H, while SR600 was quoted a price of 10,100 RMB/ton.

Styrene tended to fluctuate, and cost support was still acceptable. Some benzene permeation units had recovered to some extent, but some had also reduced production, resulting in limited growth in supply and overall tightness. The buying and inquiry atmosphere was average, with transactions mainly on demand, some devices were restored, and some supply sources were tightened due to production cuts.

Market outlook

The buying atmosphere in the PS market was average, and it is expected that in the short term, the domestic PS (polystyrene) price may mainly fluctuate in a narrow range.
