According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the average price of PS at the beginning of last week was 9,200 RMB/ton, and the average price of PS at the weekend was 9,133 RMB/ton. The price decreased slightly by 0.72%, a decrease of 18.57% compared to the same period last year.
PS's purchasing enthusiasm is not good, and some merchants still offer discounts. Mainstream brand names do not include taxes. For reference, Zhenjiang Qimei PG33 is quoted at 8,800-8,900 RMB/ton, Ningbo Taihua 535N is quoted at 8,400 RMB/ton, Shanghai SECCO 123P is quoted at 8,630 RMB/ton, Thai Petrochemical 150 is quoted at 8,630 RMB/ton, and Guangzhou Petrochemical 525 is quoted at 8,580 RMB/ton.
The night trading of styrene was weak, and the enthusiasm of buying was not good. The pressure of merchants to ship was not reduced, and some of them gave way to profits. However, some materials and goods were tight, and there was still support. The mainstream price of GPPS (Polyphenylene sulfide) in East China market was 8,050-9,300 RMB/ton, and the mainstream price of HIPS (polystyrene) was 8,600-9,650 RMB/ton.
The procurement in the downstream market of PS is not good, and it is expected that the PS (polystyrene) market may be dominated by a weak and weak trend in the short term.
