According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the average price of PS at the beginning of this week was 9,366 RMB/ton, and the average price of PS at the weekend was 9,300 RMB/ton. The price decreased slightly by 0.71%, a decrease of 18.42% compared to the same period last year.
Mainstream brand quotation reference: Saibaolong 525 is quoted at 8,250-8,300 RMB/ton, Liwan 525 is quoted at 8,100-8,150 RMB/ton, Shanghai SECCO 123P is quoted at 9,500-9,550 RMB/ton, and Yangba 158K is quoted at 8,900-8,950 RMB/ton; Huajin 825 reported 8,700-8,800 RMB/ton; Ningbo Taihua 535N offers 8,950-9,000 RMB/ton.
The sharp decline of styrene has depressed market confidence. In addition, the follow-up of transactions is weak, and the offer of merchants is loose. The mainstream price of GPPS (Polyphenylene sulfide) in East China market is 8,100-9,500 RMB/ton, and the mainstream price of HIPS (polystyrene) is 8,700-9,700 RMB/ton.
Trading in the PS market is weak, and there is an urgent need for positive news to boost it. It is expected that China PS (polystyrene) market may experience a volatile and weak trend in the short term.
