In the first ten days of July, the SBR market was slightly sorted. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of July 10, the domestic price of SBR was 12,450 RMB/ton, down 0.40% from the price of 12,500 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

Analysis review

In early July, the ex-factory price of SBR was lowered. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of July 10, the quotations of Jihua and Fushun SBR 1502 of PetroChina Northeast Sales Company were 12,700 RMB/ton. The international crude oil, raw material butadiene and styrene prices fell from high levels, and the cost side weakened. In addition, the transaction of high-priced goods in the market was stalemate, and traders' offers were slightly lowered.

In the first ten days of July, the raw material butadiene fell slightly, the price of styrene rose slightly, and the cost support was weak. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of July 10, the price of butadiene was 10,184 RMB/ton, down 2.09% from the price of 10,402 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month; as of July 10, the price of styrene was 10,550 RMB/ton, a slight increase of 0.20% from the price of 10,528 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

Natural rubber prices edged lower. According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of July 10, the price of natural rubber was 12,720 RMB/ton, down 1.81% from the price of 12,954 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

Market outlook

Analysts of SunSirs believe that the high-priced supply of the market is deadlocked, and the price of raw materials has fallen, and the cost of SBR has fallen. However, due to the impact of the reduction in the maintenance of the company's equipment, the pressure on the supply of SBR is not large. It is expected that the SBR market will fluctuate within a narrow range in the later period.
