On May 26, the average domestic market price of PVC5 type was 8,510 RMB/ton, down 0.37% from the previous trading day and down 7.5% year-on-year.

Analysis review

The futures price continued to fall, the spot market price dropped significantly, and the mainstream market price fell by about 50-150 RMB/ton.

Downstream demand continued to maintain rigid demand, the wait-and-see attitude was obvious, the inquiry heat had weakened, PVC companies continued to sell at a profit-cutting, the transaction atmosphere was not high, and the atmosphere in the market was bearish.

As of the 26th, the price of raw calcium carbide was around 4,300-4,500 RMB/ton, and the price of PVC was 8,100-8,500 RMB/ton.

Market outlook

The PVC market is expected to weaken.
