According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, as of February 15, 2022, the average price of silicone DMC market quotations in mainstream areas of data monitoring was 32,080 RMB/ton, which was an increase of 660 RMB/ton or 2.1% from the price on February 13, 2022 (the reference price of silicone DMC was 31,420 RMB/ton). Compared with the price on February 1, 2022 (the reference price of silicone DMC was 31,660 RMB/ton), the average price increased by 420 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.33%.

Analysis review

It can be seen from the data monitoring chart of SunSirs that after the Spring Festival holiday, the domestic silicone DMC market generally fell first and then rose. On February 7, some large domestic silicone DMC manufacturers lowered the ex-factory price of silicone DMC to 31,000 RMB/ton, which was 600 RMB/ton lower than the price before the holiday. Other single-unit factories were more stable and wait-and-see. Entering this week, downstream demand continued to open up, and the trading atmosphere in the market improved. On the 14th and 15th, the domestic silicone DMC market started to rise. A large factory in Shandong raised the ex-factory price of silicone DMC for two consecutive days, with a cumulative increase of 1,300 RMB/ton, the factory's organic silicon DMC ex-factory price rose to 32,300 RMB/ton, and other factories' quotations also followed the market increase, with an adjustment range of 300-500 RMB/ton. At present, the downstream demand in the silicone DMC market is doing well, and the overall atmosphere in the market is gradually warming up.

In terms of upstream silicon metal, silicon metal plants have resumed production after the Spring Festival, but the southwest region has maintained a state of shutdown due to the dry season. In some areas, the resumption of production has been delayed due to high electricity prices. In the first week of returning to the market, silicon metal manufacturers have raised prices one after another, with strong willingness to support prices. On February 14, the average spot price of 441# silicon metal was 20,970 RMB/ton, up 0.87% from the previous year.

Market outlook

At present, the market transaction has increased slightly, and the silicone DMC market is generally improving.
