SunSirs: The Demand Was Poor, Acetone Market Was Difficult to Rise (November 12-18)
November 19 2021 14:17:14SunSirs(John)

Price trend

This week, the domestic acetone market rose first and then fell. According to the monitoring data of SunSirs, the average offer of acetone in East China was at 5,600 RMB/ton on November 12, and 5,700 RMB/ton on November 18, the highest price in the week was 5,850 RMB/ton, and the overall fluctuation was not significant. As of the 18th, domestic factories offered acetone at 5,800 RMB/ton. The acetone quotations in major mainstream regions were as follows: the offers in East China was 5,700 RMB/ton, the offers in South China was 6,000 RMB/ton, and the offers in Yanshan and Shandong areas was 5,850 RMB/ton.

Analysis review

The operating rate of domestic phenol and acetone plants has been maintained at a high level, and imported goods have been continuously replenished. The follow-up of downstream demand is limited, and the trading surface is difficult to improve significantly.

After the downstream bisphenol A experienced a surge, the market's trading side obviously followed up in the morning, there was no trace to be found and there was no trading volume but the price rose. With the support of the factory, the offer was offered at 17,500 RMB/ton, and the high-end transactions were not smooth. The bisphenol A market needs to pay attention to the auction situation every week.

Market outlook

The trading atmosphere is general, the offer range of holders fluctuates, and the intention of low-price shipments is not large. However, because downstream demand is difficult to improve, it is more difficult for prices to rise. In the short term, the acetone market will operate steadily and stably, and the negotiated price of acetone in East China is expected to be 5,700-5,800 RMB/ton.
