Global crude steel production in November 2025

In November 2025, crude steel production in the 70 countries/regions included in the World Steel Association's statistics totaled 140.1 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.6%.

Crude steel production in various regions

In November 2025, crude steel production in Africa totaled 2 million tons, a 7.4% increase year-on-year; Asia and Oceania produced 99.9 million tons, a 7.1% decrease year-on-year; the European Union (27 countries) produced 10.2 million tons, a 3.5% decrease year-on-year; other European countries produced 3.7 million tons, a 9.8% increase year-on-year; the Middle East produced 5.5 million tons, an 8.2% increase year-on-year; North America produced 9 million tons, a 5.4% increase year-on-year; Russia and other CIS countries + Ukraine produced 6.3 million tons, a 3.9% decrease year-on-year; and South America produced 3.5 million tons, a 2.4% increase year-on-year.

The data submitted by the aforementioned 70 countries/regions accounts for 98% of global crude steel production in 2024.

The top ten countries in crude steel production in November 2025.

China's crude steel production was 69.87 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 10.9%;

India's crude steel production was 13.7 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.8%;

The United States' crude steel production was 6.8 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 8.5%;

Japan's crude steel production was 6.8 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.6%;

Russia's estimated crude steel production was 5.2 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.6%.

South Korea's crude steel production was 5 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.8%;

Turkey's crude steel production was 3.3 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 10.0%;

Germany's crude steel production was 2.8 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 2.6%;

Brazil's crude steel production was 2.8 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 0.7%;

Iran's crude steel production was 3.4 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.2%.
