The U.S. Department of Agriculture's export inspection report showed that U.S. soybean export inspections were near the high end of market expectations, down 8% from a week earlier but up 24% from the same period last year. For the week ending September 4, 2025, U.S. soybean export inspections totaled 452,151 tons, compared to a revised 491,428 tons the previous week and 365,297 tons in the same period last year.
Before the report's release, analysts had expected soybean export inspections to range between 300,000 and 500,000 tons.
To date, total U.S. soybean export inspections for the 2025/26 marketing year have reached 248,575 tons, down 9.1% year-over-year.
So far in the 2025/26 marketing year, U.S. soybean exports have reached 0.54% of the full-year export target.
