Xinhua Finance in Beijing on July 24 reported that in June 2025, the total electricity volume traded in the power market across the country was 502 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 2.2%.

Among them, the electricity volume traded within the province was 384.7 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year decrease of 0.22%; the electricity volume traded across provinces and regions was 117.4 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 11.1%. The electricity volume traded in green power was 23.9 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 15.6%. From January to June 2025, the national market-based electricity volume reached 2.95 trillion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 4.8%, accounting for 60.9% of the total electricity consumption of the society, an increase of 0.52 percentage points compared to the same period last year. Among them, the electricity volume within the province was 2.28 trillion kilowatt-hours, unchanged year-on-year; the electricity volume across provinces and regions was 670.7 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 18.2%. The electricity volume of green electricity trading was 154 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 49.3%.
