According to data from the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange, the soybean planting area in Argentina reached 18.4 million hectares in 2024/25, a year-on-year increase of 6.4%, which is 10% higher than the average of the past five years. However, in this context, soybean meal, as Argentina's main export product, is facing a sustained low price situation in 2025, despite positive signs of global demand.
A report from Rosario Grain Exchange (BCR) states that as of the end of June, the FOB price of Argentine soybean meal has fallen to $281 per ton, the lowest level in over 15 years.
