On May 3rd, all silkworm pupa wholesale markets across the country began normal operations. After the May Day holiday, wholesalers restocked in large quantities, and AB grade fresh pupae were out of stock. Last week, the wholesale price of fresh pupae in Shandong market was generally 11,000-11,500 RMB/ton for A and B grades, 9,500-11,000 RMB/ton for C and D grades, and 5,000-7,000 RMB/ton for feed cocoons. The average price increased by 500 RMB/ton compared to last week.
New products have been fully launched, but due to weather conditions, some major silkworm cocoon producing areas in Guangxi have experienced drought this year, resulting in severe pupal suspension and slow vehicle speeds. Last week, the loading price of fresh pupae was around 10,500 RMB/ton for Class A, 10,000 RMB/ton for Class B, and 9,000 RMB/ton for Class C and D. The prices remained unchanged from last week, and it is expected that the loading price this week will be around 10,000 RMB/ton.
Dry and wet pupae: The export acid price did not exceed 6,500 RMB/ton, while the domestic sales for Class A were 5,500 RMB/ton, Class B were 4,000 RMB/ton, and Class C were 3,500 RMB/ton, with prices remaining unchanged from last week.
