SunSirs: Weak Supply and Demand, Butyraldehyde Was Weak to Rebound in Early April
April 09 2024 14:32:21SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, after a cliff like decline in n-butyraldehyde in March, it fluctuated in early April and remained at a price of 8,000-8,100 RMB per ton. As of April 8th, the reference price for domestic n-butyraldehyde was 8,050 RMB/ton, an increase of 25 RMB/ton from 8,025 RMB/ton on April 1st.

Analysis review

In terms of raw material propylene, the restart of facilities such as Liaoning Jinfa and the release of new production capacity had a slight impact on propylene prices, resulting in a slight decline in prices.

From the perspective of downstream demand, the n-butanol market was oversupplied, with high inventory levels among manufacturers and a strong willingness to sell at discounted prices, resulting in weak prices.

Market outlook

According to data analysts from SunSirs, the weak supply and demand had led to a weak rebound in the price of butyraldehyde, and it is expected that the price center of butyraldehyde will fluctuate in the future.
