The average market price from the beginning of the week to the weekend was 2,040 RMB/ton, a decrease of 26.35% compared to the same period last year. Data showedthat the operating rate of soda ash this week was around 89%, and the production of soda ash this week was around 730,000 tons.

Market outlook

According to analysts from SunSirs, the price of sodium bicarbonate had recently stabilized, while the upstream raw material of soda ash had temporarily stabilized. Downstream pharmaceutical, textile, and food sectors of sodium bicarbonate had recently made more purchases according to demand, replenishing inventory in an appropriate amount, without any positive support. It is expected that sodium bicarbonate prices will mainly fluctuate in the later stage, depending on downstream market demand.
