The dichloromethane market was weak and consolidating, with mainstream bulk water prices for dichloromethane in Shandong region around 2,150-2,250 RMB/ton as of February 7th.

Analysis review

Recently (from 2.1 to 2.7), the domestic supply of methane chlorides had slightly increased, and the Guangxi Jinyi 300,000 ton/year unit restarted operation from the 6th, increasing the unit load to 60%.

Recently (2.1-2.7), the price of raw material methanol had risen, while the price of liquid chlorine had fallen, resulting in weak support for the cost of dichloromethane. As the Spring Festival approaching, downstream construction was temporarily stable at a low level, and demand was gradually weakening, weakening support for dichloromethane.

Market outlook

The methane chloride data analyst from SunSirs believes that the demand side for dichloromethane is weak in the short term, the supply side has slightly increased, and the cost side is fluctuating and consolidating. Overall, it is expected that the dichloromethane market will be mainly weakly consolidating before the holiday.
