October 18 2023 09:55:05SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of October 13th, the average price of refrigerant R22 was 21,766.67 RMB/ton, an increase of 1.24% compared to the price of 21,500.00 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month, and an increase of 16.61% compared to the same period last year.

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, as of October 13th, the average price of refrigerant R134a was 28,000.00 RMB/ton, an increase of 7.69% from the beginning of the month's price of 26,000.00 RMB/ton, and an increase of 8.39% from the same period last year.

Analysis review

In October, the price of refrigerant R22 raw materials continued to rise, the price of chloroform slightly increased, and the price of hydrofluoric acid continued to rise. As of October 13th, the price of hydrofluoric acid increased by 8.66% within the month, while the price of chloroform increased by 2.97% within the month. The cost of raw materials rose again, and with cost support, manufacturers had successively raised the factory price of R22, driving the market price of refrigerant R22 up slightly.

As of October 13th, the domestic price of hydrofluoric acid had increased by 8.66% within the month, while the price of trichloroethylene had continued to rise. The raw material cost had continued to rise, and supported by higher costs, manufacturers raised the factory price of R134a, driving a comprehensive rebound in the domestic R134a market price.

The significant increase in domestic hydrofluoric acid prices and the continuous increase in raw material costs will provide strong support for the future refrigerant market prices.

Market outlook

SunSirs’refrigerant analysts believe that the downstream demand for refrigerants remained unchanged, and raw material costs continued to rise. With the support of costs and demand, it is expected that the domestic prices of R22 and R134a will continue to rise to varying degrees in the short term.
