SunSirs: Aniline Prices Had Significantly Increased This Week (September 11-15)
September 18 2023 09:42:38SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of aniline had significantly increased this week. On September 11th, the market price of aniline was 12,675 RMB/ton, and on September 15th, it was 13,650 RMB/ton, an increase of 20.05% compared to last week.

Analysis review

Pure benzene: On September 14th, the East China market continued to rise, with sporadic spot transactions on the exchange, mainly through monthly transactions. Downstream customers were cautious in pursuing high priced raw materials, resulting in insufficient transactions. An unplanned shutdown of a polymerization factory in Shandong led to bearish market buying atmosphere, coupled with a slight decline in high-end pure benzene in East China within the day, resulting in insufficient market follow-up momentum and weaker transaction volume. At September 14th night, the market fell to around 8,800 RMB/ton, but crude oil remained strong, and it was expected that pure benzene would continue to be consolidated in the morning. On Friday (September 15th), the price of pure benzene was 8,850 RMB/ton, an increase of 13.46% from last week and 13.09% from the same period last year.

Nitric acid: The domestic price of nitric acid had slightly increased this week. On September 11th, the price was 2,150 RMB/ton, and on September 15th, it was 2,166 RMB/ton. The price increased by 5.65% compared to last week and decreased by 4.41% compared to the same period last year.

Market outlook

The price of raw material pure benzene continued to rise, with strong cost support and active downstream stocking. It is expected that there is room for rise in the price of aniline.
