Price trend

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the domestic ethyl alcohol market was operating at a high level. From August 29th to September 5th, the domestic ethyl alcohol price increased from 6,812 RMB/ton to 6,825 RMB/ton, with a weekly price increase of 0.18%, a month on month increase of 2.63%, and a year-on-year increase of 2.63%. High level raw materials supported, the demand of some downstream products increased, but the supply remained high, and the subsequent increase in ethyl alcohol prices lacked momentum.

Analysis review

On the cost side, the high price of corn fluctuated, and the inventory of aged corn will continue to decline. The demand for breeding and feed production will continue to increase. The overall supply of aged corn will continue to be in a period of shortage, and the supply capacity will continue to decline. Traders were reluctant to sell at low prices. As of September 5, domestic spring corn had also started to be listed, with spring corn in Hubei, Sichuan and other places starting to increase in quantity, and some early maturing spring corn in Shandong, Henan and other places also being listed sporadically, as of September 5, there was no centralized increase in quantity, and the prices in the sales area remained high. There were temporary positive factors in the cost of ethyl alcohol.

On the supply side, the Fukang devices resumed operation, and the Longhe devices in Lianyungang reduced production load; Shandong Yingxuan had a production line for production. The Heilongjiang Hongzhan Nehe plants was operating normally. Henan Houyuan devices had a maintenance plan. The ethyl alcohol supply was mixed.

On the demand side, downstream chemical companies procurement was just in needed and large ethyl acetate factories were gradually returning to full capacity. Some factories in East China had maintenance plans. The short-term demand for ethyl alcohol was mixed.

Market outlook

Cost and supply supports were high, and demand is expected to break through. Ethyl alcohol analysts from SunSirs predict that the domestic ethyl alcohol market may fluctuate to be stronger in the short term.
