March 17 2023 09:21:11SunSirs(John)

Price trend

According to data monitoring by SunSirs, as of March 16, the average price of LNG in China was 4,608 RMB/ton, compared to the price of 5,044 RMB/ton on March 10, the domestic price of LNG fell by 8.64%.

Analysis review

Domestic LNG prices rebounded slightly after falling sharply this week. At the beginning of the week, market demand was sluggish, supply oversupply increased, and LNG plants had a strong attitude towards destocking. In addition to the reduction in feed gas prices, LNG prices continued to decline. The market started to recover on Wednesday, and after a continuous decline, LNG plants began to stabilize and increase prices. In some regions, LNG plants haf reduced production or suspended shipments, resulting in a decrease in on-site supply.

Market outlook

LNG analysts from SunSirs believe that the domestic LNG market stopped falling and rebounded recently, downstream procurement was mainly based on in needed, and terminal demand needed to be released. It is expected that in the short term, domestic LNG prices will be mainly consolidated and operated in a narrow range.
