According to data released by SECEX, Brazil imported only 240,478.9 tons of unground corn (excluding sweet corn) in December 2022, a decrease of 46.1% from 446,319.1 tons in December 2021.
There will be 22 working days in December 2022, and the average daily import volume will be 10,930.9 tons, a decrease of 43.7% from 19,405.2 tons in the same period in 2021.
Corn import bills for December 2022 were $246.2 million, down 48.4% from $477.5 million for the same period in 2021.
The average price of corn imports in December was US$225.3, down 8.5% from US$246.1 in December 2021.
