According to the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on January 4, the national coal prices rose and fell in late December. The specific price changes of each coal type are as follows:

The price of anthracite (washed medium, volatile content ≤ 8%) is 2072.1 RMB/ton, an increase of 2.1 RMB/ton or 0.1% over the previous period.

The price of ordinary mixed coal (a mixture of fine coal and lump coal in Shanxi, with a calorific value of 4,500 kcal) was 938.6 RMB/ton, a decrease of 57.1 RMB/ton or 5.7% from the previous period.

The price of Shanxi mixed coal (good quality mixed coal, calorific value 5,000 kcal) was 1070.0 RMB/ton, a decrease of 94.3 RMB/ton or 8.1% from the previous period.

The price of Shanxi excellent mixed coal (high-quality mixed coal with a calorific value of 5500 kcal) was 1261.4 RMB/ton, a decrease of 82.9 RMB/ton or 6.2% from the previous period.

The price of coking coal (main coking coal, sulfur content <1%) was 2477.9 RMB/ton, an increase of 24.3 RMB/ton, or 1.0%, from the previous period.

It can be seen from the above data that in late December, the prices of anthracite and coking coal across the country continued to rise, but the increases narrowed; the price of thermal coal continued to decline, and the decline further expanded.
