In August, domestic corn starch prices were generally strong. On August 1, the average price of edible first-grade corn starch was 3210.00 yuan/ton, and the average weekend price was 3340.00 yuan/ton, an increase of 4.05% during the month.
2. Market analysis
Entering August, the downstream corn arrivals have declined. To ensure production ports and deep processing companies have raised corn purchase prices, which has driven the domestic corn market prices to continue to rise. The cost of raw materials has risen again. In addition, some colleges and universities require early start of school. After the weather turns cool, the downstream demand for starch has rebounded. The willingness of downstream stocking has increased slightly. Under the support of demand and cost, the domestic ex-factory price of corn starch has continued to run strongly.
3. Market forecast
Supported by cost and demand, it is expected that the domestic corn starch market price will continue to operate stably in September.
