SunSirs: China Corn Starch Prices were Weak Last Week (April 8-12)

According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the domestic corn starch price remained weak last week. The average price of first grade corn starch consumed at the beginning of the week was 3,092.00 RMB/ton, and the average price over the weekend was 3,080.00 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.39% during the week.
Due to the continuous loose supply in the domestic corn market, prices in the domestic corn market continued to decline weakly last week, raw material costs continued to decline, and downstream demand for corn starch was not strong during the peak season. Under the dual pressure of cost and demand, prices in the domestic corn starch market continued to be under pressure and declined weakly.
The corn starch product analyst from SunSirs believes that with a lot of negative news, the domestic corn starch market price will continue to follow the weak trend of the domestic corn market price in the short term.
