SunSirs: China Corn Starch Prices Fluctuated weakly Last Week (April 15-19)

According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the domestic corn starch price fluctuated weakly last week. At the beginning of the week, the average price of edible grade one corn starch was 3,076.00 RMB/ton, and the average price over the weekend was 3,072.00 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.13% during the week.
Entering mid April, the domestic corn market prices continued to remain stable with a weak trend, and raw material costs continued to fluctuate and decrease. In addition, the weak downstream peak season of corn starch caused an overall accumulation of domestic corn starch stocks, resulting in a weak and fluctuating price trend in the corn starch market.
The corn starch product analyst from SunSirs believes that under the pressure of cost and demand, it is expected that there is still some room for price decline in the domestic corn starch market in the short term.
