SunSirs: Building Material, Wood Pulp Market had Trended Sideways on April 9

According to the monitoring of SunSirs, as of April 9, the market price of softwood pulp was 4600 RMB/ ton, and that of hardwood pulp was 3850 RMB/ ton. The average price of softwood pulp was 4550-4600 RMB/ ton. It's a real deal.

Product area: the quotation of several brands has increased. With the school opening one after another, the paper consumption has increased. At present, the inventory is abundant. Silver Star offers $600/ ton (up $10/ ton on a year-on-year basis), Moon offers $600/ ton (up $20 / ton on a year-on-year basis), and Beimu and Beihai offers $640/ ton, (up $20/ ton on a year-on-year basis). The rise of overseas offers further narrowed the gap between domestic and foreign prices, providing a certain support for domestic futures prices.

Port inventory: in the first ten days of April, the total inventory of inside and outside of Qingdao port was about 1.03 million tons (down 1.90% on a month on month basis), and Changshu port pulp inventory was about 735,000 tons (down 1.34% on a month on month basis), still at a high level.

Spot futures: SP2009 contract closed at 4,634 RMB/ ton last trading day, down 24 RMB/ ton; total position of pulp futures was 51,921, up 5,630. Spot market: the pulp spot market was weak and stable yesterday, and the pulp market was in a weak situation of supply and demand.

Industry: on April 8, hardwood pulp commodity index was 83.70, up 0.94 points from the previous day, down 39.29% from 137.86 (2017-11-13), and up 3.85% from 80.60, the lowest point on December 25, 2019. (Note: cycle refers to 2012-11-30 to now)

On April 8, the softwood pulp commodity index was 94.68, up 0.94 points from the previous day, down 37.76% from 152.11 (2017-11-08), the highest point in the cycle, and up 4.84% from 90.31, the lowest point on December 16, 2019. (Note: cycle refers to 2013-09-01 till now)

Wood pulp analysts believe that, pulp spot market prices rose, showing a trend of shock finishing.
