SunSirs: China Domestic Pig Prices Rebounded Slightly Last Week
December 29 2025 09:47:23     SunSirs (Selena)
According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of domestic and foreign three RMB live pigs continued to rise last week, with an average price of 1.58 RMB/kg at the beginning of the week and 11.73 RMB/kg over the weekend, an increase of 1.30% during the week.
In late December, affected by a cold wave, snowfall occurred in many parts of the north, leading to a significant drop in temperature and increased difficulty in transporting live pigs. As a result, the overall supply of live pigs in the market decreased slightly. In addition, with the increase in stocking by slaughter enterprises at the end of the year and weather support, domestic pig market prices rebounded slightly.
Last week, domestic corn prices fluctuated and moved forward, while pig prices slightly rebounded. The domestic pig to grain ratio slightly increased to around 5.3:1, and the overall aquaculture industry is still in a loss making situation.
SunSirs pig product analyst believes that in the short term, with the support of weather factors, the domestic pig market prices will continue to operate steadily with a slightly strong trend. Overall, there is no significant rebound in demand in the terminal meat market, and the overall upward space for pig prices is limited.
