SunSirs: China's Domestic Commodity Market Maintains Uptrend for Seventh Consecutive Month

CCTV News: The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing released the November China Commodity Price Index on December 5. The index has risen month-on-month for seven consecutive months, outperforming the same period last year.
The November index stood at 114.1 points, up 0.8% month-on-month and 1.6% year-on-year.
Among the 50 key commodities monitored by the CFLP, 25 saw month-on-month price increases in November. Lithium carbonate, coke, and corrugated paper led the gains, rising 15%, 7.2%, and 7.1% respectively from the previous month.
By sector, the nonferrous metals price index continued its upward trend, rising 1.4% month-on-month, driven by the rapid development of the global new energy industry and sustained expansion in China's high-tech manufacturing sector. Meanwhile, the energy price index and agricultural products price index rebounded from declines, increasing 1.2% and 0.9% month-on-month respectively, influenced by seasonal growth in winter heating demand and tight supply of certain agricultural products.
Overall, the commodity market continued its recovery, maintaining a stable and positive trend. This indicates that under the coordinated efforts of various national economic stabilization measures, the domestic economy's endogenous momentum and resilience are steadily strengthening, accelerating the transition between old and new growth drivers, and providing robust support for achieving the annual economic growth targets.
