SunSirs: China's Steel Production Statistics for October 2025

According to statistics from the China Iron and Steel Association, in October 2025, the nation produced 72 million tons of crude steel, a year-on-year decrease of 12.1%. Daily output reached 2.3226 million tons, a month-on-month decline of 5.2%. Pig iron output reached 65.55 million tons, down 7.9% year-on-year, with a daily output of 2.1145 million tons, a 4% decrease month-on-month. Steel product output totaled 118.64 million tons, down 0.9% year-on-year, with a daily output of 3.8271 million tons, a 7.6% decrease month-on-month.

 

From January to October, China's cumulative crude steel output reached 818 million tons, down 3.9% year-on-year, with a cumulative daily output of 2.6904 million tons. Pig iron production totaled 711 million tons, down 1.8% year-on-year, with a cumulative daily output of 2.34 million tons. Steel product output reached 1.218 billion tons, up 4.7% year-on-year, with a cumulative daily output of 4.0052 million tons.

 

In October 2025, key statistical steel enterprises produced 63.6916 million tons of crude steel, down 6.7% year-on-year, with a daily output of 2.0546 million tons, up 1.9% month-on-month; pig iron production reached 59.2767 million tons, down 4.5% year-on-year, with a daily output of 1.9122 million tons, up 1.8% month-on-month; Steel products totaled 66.1983 million tons, down 4.4% year-on-year, with a daily output of 2.1354 million tons, down 3.2% month-on-month.

 

From January to October, key statistical steel enterprises cumulatively produced 682 million tons of crude steel, down 1.8% year-on-year, with a cumulative daily output of 2.2444 million tons; Cumulative pig iron production reached 616 million tons, down 0.8% year-on-year, with a daily output of 2.0262 million tons. Cumulative steel production totaled 696 million tons, up 1.3% year-on-year, with a daily output of 2.2887 million tons.
