SunSirs: China Iron and Steel Association: Key Steelmakers Average Daily Output of 1.946 Million Tons in Early February

On February 14, the China Iron and Steel Association reported that during the first ten days of February 2026, key steel enterprises collectively produced 19.46 million tons of crude steel, averaging 1.946 million tons per day—a 0.6% increase from the previous day. Pig iron output reached 17.72 million tons, averaging 1.772 million tons per day, up 1.8% from the previous period. Steel product output totaled 17.50 million tons, averaging 1.750 million tons per day, down 9.6% from the previous period.
Based on these figures, it is estimated that during the mid-February period, the national daily crude steel output reached 2.4 million tons, up 0.6% month-on-month; daily pig iron output reached 2.13 million tons, up 1.8% month-on-month; and daily steel product output reached 3.81 million tons, down 4.3% month-on-month.
