On October 30, the China Iron and Steel Association released its monthly report on steel product imports and exports for September. Data shows that China exported 10.465 million tons of steel in September, marking a 10.0% increase from the previous month. Export volumes rebounded once again, while the average export price stood at $679.1 per ton, down 2.7% month-on-month. In September, China imported 548,000 tons of steel, a 9.7% increase month-on-month. The average import price was $1,623.1 per ton, a slight decrease of 1.8% month-on-month.
Recently, emerging economies have continued to impose trade restrictive measures on China's steel products. It is recommended that export enterprises focus on the long term, reasonably control the pace of exports, and actively protect their own rights and interests.

In September 2025, China exported 10.465 million tons of steel, marking a 10.0% month-on-month increase as export volumes rebounded. The average export price stood at $679.1 per ton, down 2.7% month-on-month. From January to September, China's cumulative steel exports reached 87.955 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.0%. The average export price was $696.7 per ton, a year-on-year decrease of 9.5%, with the decline narrowing by 0.6 percentage points compared to the previous month.
In September, China imported 548,000 tons of steel, a month-on-month increase of 9.7%. The average import price was $1,623.1 per ton, a slight month-on-month decrease of 1.8%. From January to September, China's cumulative steel imports reached 4.532 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 12.6%. The average import price was $1,692.3 per ton, a year-on-year increase of 1.1%.
