According to data from the General Administration of Customs, as of October 29th, 2025, corrugated paper imports in September 2025 totaled approximately 165,800 tons, an increase of 17.94% month-on-month and a decrease of 3.78% year-on-year. Corrugated paper exports in September totaled approximately 5,200 tons, a decrease of 5.64% month-on-month and a decrease of 36.84% year-on-year.
The 17.94% month-on-month increase in imports to 165,800 tons indicates rising domestic supply pressure, which may put downward pressure on spot prices. The 5.64% month-on-month decrease in exports to 5,200 tons and the significant 36.84% year-on-year decrease indicate weak overseas demand, further exacerbating domestic inventory accumulation and the risk of price declines. Overall, the data reflects oversupply and shrinking demand, which has a significant negative impact on spot prices.
