SunSirs: Paper and Paper Products Industry Achieves Total Profit of CNY 44.3 Billion in 2025

On January 27, the National Bureau of Statistics released the 2025 profit performance of industrial enterprises above designated size nationwide. Notably, the paper and paper products industry achieved a total profit of CNY 44.3 billion, marking a year-on-year decrease of 13.6%; while the printing and reproduction of recorded media industry recorded a total profit of CNY 31.24 billion, down 6.6% year-on-year.
In 2025, industrial enterprises above designated size achieved operating revenues of CNY 139.20 trillion, up 1.1% year-on-year; Operating costs amounted to CNY 118.75 trillion, up 1.3%. The operating income profit margin stood at 5.31%, down 0.03 percentage points from the previous year. Within this, the paper and paper products industry recorded operating income of CNY 1.41867 trillion, a year-on-year decrease of 2.6%; while the printing and reproduction of recorded media industry achieved operating income of CNY 637.64 billion, down 4.8% year-on-year.
