SunSirs: EU Palm Oil Imports Have Decreased by 20% Year-on-year as of October 19

October 27 2025 15:05:18     SunSirs (Selena)

As of October 19, 2025, EU data shows that the import volume of palm oil in the EU decreased by 20% year-on-year in 2025/26, reflecting the long-term constraint of the EU Renewable Energy Directive (RED II) on palm oil demand. Malaysia's export volume and share have both increased.

In 2024/25 (July to June of the following year), the European Union imported 248,000 tons of palm oil from Malaysia, a year-on-year increase of 5.8%. The share increased from 21.7% to 28.9%.
