According to a report by the Indonesian Palm Oil Association (GAPKI), inventory levels dropped to 2.333 million tons by the end of October 2025, a decrease of 10.0% from September, indicating a significant tightening on the supply side. A decrease in inventory usually reflects a tightening of market supply and demand, which may drive up the spot price of palm oil. As a major global producer of palm oil, Indonesia's declining inventory is likely to trigger market expectations of supply shortages, thereby boosting spot demand.
