SunSirs: Autumn Grain Production Remains Stable, Full-Year Grain Harvest Expected to Be Bountiful Again

October 21 2025 09:25:58

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, autumn grain production has remained generally stable. This year, the country has continued to improve its policy support system for grain production, consistently implementing various policies such as minimum purchase prices and subsidies. It has expanded the coverage of full-cost insurance and crop income insurance for major grain varieties, fully stimulating farmers' enthusiasm for grain cultivation. Local governments strictly implemented joint Party and government responsibility for food security, strengthened farmland protection and quality improvement, and orderly advanced rectification of non-grain use of farmland and reclamation of fallow land, resulting in increased autumn grain planting area. Most agricultural regions enjoyed favorable light, temperature, and water conditions this year, with autumn crops generally growing normally. In the three northeastern provinces, Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, and other areas, autumn grain production is in good shape, driven by increased planting of high-yield corn and generally favorable climatic conditions. Some regions have experienced natural disasters such as droughts and floods. The Huang-Huai-Hai region faced prolonged rainy weather during the harvest period, which has had some impact on autumn grain production. Local authorities have actively implemented effective disaster prevention and mitigation measures to minimize the effects of these events. Currently, the autumn harvest is progressing steadily nationwide, and the country is expected to achieve another bumper grain harvest for the year.
