SunSirs: Russian Grain Exports Declined Year-on-Year in August
September 17 2025 14:04:24     Monitoring data from the Russian Grain Union (RGU) shows that from September 1 to 10, Russia exported 1.732 million tons of wheat, down 17% compared to the same period last year.
However, the union noted that Russian exports to Turkey have begun to grow, with transshipment volumes via the Port of Novorossiysk also increasing.
The head of the RGU's analytical department reported that from September 1 to 10, Russia's total grain exports amounted to 1.91 million tons, down 22.4% year-on-year. Barley exports fell by 46.6%, dropping from 306,000 tons to 163,000 tons compared to the same period last year. Corn exports decreased by 77.3%, plummeting from 62,000 tons to 14,100 tons.
In August, Russia's grain exports decreased by 35% year-on-year, while wheat exports fell by 33% compared to the same period last year.
