SunSirs: Fujian Lithium Battery Exports Hit New High in First 8 Months of 2025

Data released yesterday by Xiamen Customs shows that Fujian Province's lithium battery exports reached 87.229 billion RMB in the first eight months of this year, marking a 19.01% year-on-year increase and setting a new record for the same period. Private enterprises continued to play a pivotal role, not only achieving nearly 20% growth in export value during this period but also accounting for a staggering 95.13% of Fujian's total lithium battery exports.

Data from Xiamen Customs indicates that Europe and North America are the primary destinations for Fujian's lithium battery exports. In the first eight months of this year, Fujian exported lithium batteries worth 50.094 billion RMB to Europe, a year-on-year increase of 31.35%, accounting for 57.43% of Fujian's total lithium battery exports during the same period. Meanwhile, exports to emerging markets like South Asia and South America surged dramatically, with export values soaring 7.79 times and 2.09 times respectively during the same period. Additionally, exports to Chile, Bulgaria, Hungary, and India grew by 52.69 times, 16.61 times, 9.95 times, and 8.33 times respectively.

As an integrated internet platform providing benchmark prices, on September 16, the benchmark price of battery-grade lithium hydroxide on SunSirs was 73,000 RMB/ton, down 4.01% from 76,050 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.

On September 16, the benchmark price of battery-grade lithium carbonate on SunSirs was 71,616.67 RMB/ton, down 8.85% from 78,573.33 RMB/ton at the beginning of the month.
