SunSirs: Brazil's Corn Exports Are Projected at 6.37 Million Tons in September 2025
September 08 2025 14:54:43     SunSirs (Selena)The Brazilian National Association of Cereal Exporters (ANEC) said Brazil will export 6.369 million tons of corn in September, down from 6.56 million tons in the same period last year.
August corn exports were 7.31 million tons, down from the 7.8 million tons projected a week ago.
Despite China resuming purchases last month, China's corn imports from Brazil have declined so far this year.
On Wednesday, Rabobank said Brazilian corn faces "strong competition" from the United States, with record-high U.S. corn production expected in 2025 limiting the pace of Brazilian corn exports.
Brazilian corn exports typically exceed soybeans in the second half of the year, as most soybeans have already been exported.
Corn exports from January to September this year are estimated at 23.31 million tons, compared to 23.62 million tons in the same period last year.
ANEC estimates Brazil's corn exports at 45 million tons this year, up from 37.8 million tons in 2024.
ANEC's estimates are based on ship schedules at ports. Actual exports may be affected by factors such as weather.
