Sunsirs: Agricultural Product Market Dynamics of The 33rd Week of 2025

International bulk agricultural products

1. Corn, soybean oil, wheat and rice prices fell slightly.The closing weekly average prices of corn, soybean oil and wheat futures contracts at the Chicago Board of Trade in the United States were $149, $1169 and $185 per ton, respectively, down 1% month-on-month and up 31% and down 5% year-on-year; the weekly average ex-factory prices of 100%B and 5% broken rice in Bangkok, Thailand were $397 and $382 per ton, respectively, down 1% month-on-month and down 34% and 35% year-on-year.

2. Soybeans, raw sugar and cotton prices increased. The weekly average price of soybeans at the recent futures contract of the Chicago Board of Trade was US$371 per ton, up 5% week-on-week and 4% higher year-on-year; the weekly average price of raw sugar at the International Sugar Organization was 16.95 US cents (US$374 per ton), up 3% week-on-week and 7% lower year-on-year; the weekly average price of cotton at the International Cotton Price Index (SM grade) was 76.76 US cents (US$1692 per ton), up 1% week-on-week and 1% lower year-on-year.

On September 1st, the benchmark price of corn on SunSirs was 2,301.43 RMB per ton, a decrease of 1.35% compared with the beginning of last month (2,332.86 RMB per ton).
