SunSirs: The Inverted Range of Palm Oil Import Prices Continued to Narrow in China Last Week
May 12 2025 14:59:03     SunSirs (Selena)On May 9th, the National Grain and Oil Information Center reported that the recent decline in international palm oil prices has been greater than that of domestic prices, and the inverted range of palm oil import prices has narrowed. Monitoring shows that on May 8th, the CNF import prices for 24 degree palm oil with shipping schedules from June to August 2025 were 942 US dollars/ton, 944 US dollars/ton, and 948 US dollars/ton, respectively. The dutiable costs upon arrival in South China were 8,150 RMB/ton, 8,160 RMB/ton, and 8,175 RMB/ton, respectively, which were 242 RMB/ton, 252 RMB/ton, and 267 RMB/ton higher than the contract price of 2509 palm oil from a large trading firm, respectively, a decrease of 150-300 RMB/ton compared to the previous week. Last week, there were 5 new ship purchases in China, with 3 ships scheduled for May and 2 ships scheduled for June.
