On April 16th, the commodity price index BPI was 880 points, a decrease of 3 points from yesterday, a decrease of 34.48% from the highest point of 1,343 points during the cycle (2021-10-19), and an increase of 33.33% from the lowest point of 660 points on February 3rd, 2016.
According to the price monitoring of SunSirs, on April 16, 2025, there were a total of 23 commodities that showed a year-on-year increase in commodity prices, mainly concentrated in the chemical sector (14 in total) and the non-ferrous sector (4 in total). The top three commodities with the highest increase were ammonium sulfate (2.58%), epoxy resin (1.75%), and cobalt (1.02%). There were a total of 85 products that experienced a month on month decline, mainly in the chemical industry (36 in total) and non-ferrous metals (16 in total). The top three products with the highest decline were TDI (-2.41%), butadiene (-2.23%), and polyester DTY (-2.20%).
