SunSirs: Winter Rapeseed Production in Germany Drops to 4.01 Million Tons by 2025

The first harvest forecast report for 2025 released by the German Association of Agricultural Cooperatives shows that the winter rapeseed production in Germany will reach 4.01 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 5.2%.
The estimated rapeseed planting area in Germany in 2025 is 1.11 million hectares, a year-on-year decrease of 4.8%. Due to some farmers' disappointment with the 2024 harvest and competition for non food land, especially solar power facilities, farmers have reduced their rapeseed planting area.
