SunSirs: EU Plant Oil Production Increased to 15.01 Million Ttons in 2024/25

The European Commission's monthly report on February 3 showed that the production of plant oils (rapeseed oil, sunflower seed oil, and soybean oil) in the EU for 2024/25 has been increased to 15.01 million tons, higher than the last forecast of 14.94 million tons, but lower than the previous year's 16.23 million tons. The import volume of plant oil remained unchanged at 5.73 million tons, lower than the previous year's 8.14 million tons. The expected import of palm oil remains at 3 million tons, lower than the previous year's 4.05 million tons; Sunflower seed oil imports remained at 2.13 million tons, lower than the previous year's 2.97 million tons. The estimated import volume of rapeseed oil is 300,000 tons, which is consistent with the previous forecast and lower than last year's 460,000 tons. The estimated import volume of soybean oil is 300,000 tons, which is consistent with the previous forecast and lower than last year's 660,000 tons.
