According to the China Cotton Association, from December 9th to December 15th, the average purchase price of seed cotton nationwide was 6.48 RMB/kg, a year-on-year decrease of 10.9% and unchanged from the previous month; The average purchase price of Xinjiang seed cotton was 6.45 RMB/kg, a year-on-year decrease of 11.3%.
The average price of hand picked cotton was 7.13 RMB/kg, a year-on-year decrease of 12.8% and a month on month decrease of 2.3%; The average price of machine picked cotton was 5.89 RMB/kg, a year-on-year decrease of 17.2% and a month on month decrease of 2.5%; The average price of cotton in mainland China was 6.72 RMB/kg, a year-on-year decrease of 11.6% and a month on month increase of 0.3%.
