SunSirs: Russia's Offline Primary Refining Capacity Jumped to 2.9 Million Tons in February

According to foreign power sources on February 22nd, calculations based on industry data show that Russia's offline primary refining capacity in February has jumped from 799,000 tons to 2.9 million tons.

This revision was made after a series of fires at a Russian refinery, which resulted in unplanned shutdowns for maintenance.

In January of this year, accidents at these factories resulted in a 39.6% increase in offline refining capacity compared to plan, to 1.659 million tons.

According to the plan, Russia's offline refining capacity may drop to 1.178 million tons in March.

At the same time, calculations show that if several refineries continue to maintain, the refining capacity may increase to 2.929 million tons next month.

The Russian refinery is expected to undergo major maintenance in May this year, which will lead to an increase in offline refining capacity to 3.111 million tons.

Russian refineries usually perform seasonal maintenance work in spring and autumn. In recent months, fuel production has decreased and crude oil exports have increased.
