According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the domestic corn starch price remained weak last week. The average price of first grade corn starch consumed at the beginning of the week was 3,280.00 RMB/ton, and the average price over the weekend was 3,260.00 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.61% during the week.
In late January, supported by the rebound in downstream demand for starch at the end of the year and the overall low inventory of corn starch enterprises, the price trend of corn starch deviated from the domestic corn market price trend to a certain extent. With the support of tight market supply, some manufacturers slightly increased their factory prices, driving the stable and strong operation of domestic corn starch market prices this week.
The corn starch product analyst from SunSirs believes that in the short term, with low inventory levels and downstream demand support, the domestic corn starch market price will continue to remain strong. With the end of downstream stocking, the domestic corn starch market price will once again follow the corn price trend after the year.
