SunSirs: China Corn Starch Prices were Weak Last Week (January 1-5)

According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the domestic corn starch price was weak last week. At the beginning of the week, the average price of consuming grade one corn starch was 3,210.00 RMB/ton, and the average price over the weekend was 3,200.00 RMB/ton, a decrease of 0.31% during the week.
After New Year's Day, the overall price of domestic corn market weakened and stabilized. Due to the significant decline in domestic corn market prices in the early stage, some enterprises slightly lowered the ex factory price of corn starch in January, driving the weak operation of domestic corn starch market prices.
The corn starch product analyst from SunSirs believes that under the sustained low raw material costs, the domestic corn starch market prices will continue to operate under pressure in the short term.
