According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of LNG in China increased last week. As of December 22, the average price of LNG in China was 5,514 RMB/ton, which is higher than the average price of 4,996 RMB/ton on December 18. The price of LNG in China has increased by 10.37%.
Last week, the price of LNG in China increased significantly. Last week, cold air frequently hit China, and due to the impact of cooling weather in many areas, the demand for downstream replenishment has significantly increased, leading to a continuous increase in LNG prices. After snowfall, traffic flows smoothly. In terms of sea and gas, some receiving stations have raised prices. On the afternoon of December 20th, in the fourth week of December (December 21st to December 31st), the bidding price for raw gas from PetroChina Northwest Liquid Plant was 3.3-3.45 RMB/cubic meter. The low price increased by 0.05 RMB/cubic meter compared to the previous period, and the high price increased by 0.05 RMB/cubic meter compared to the previous period. All 70 million cubic meters were sold. The slight increase in raw gas prices has increased cost support, driving up liquid prices.
LNG analysts from SunSirs believe that the domestic LNG price trend has continued to strengthen in recent days. With the significant increase in liquid prices and the weakening of downstream receiving capacity, the space for liquid price increase is limited. It is expected that the domestic LNG prices will stabilize and fluctuate in the short term, with consolidation and operation being the main focus.
