SunSirs: China DME Market Stabilized after Rising Last Week (December 18-22)

Last week (12.18-12.22), the domestic DME market stabilized after rising. According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the average price of DME in the Henan market on December 18th was 3,770 RMB/ton, and on December 22nd it was 3,775 RMB/ton, an increase of 0.13% during the cycle and a decrease of 16.11% compared to the same period last year.
Last week, the overall stability of the domestic DME market was maintained, with some enterprises in Henan region making slight adjustments. Downstream phased procurement has ended, and market demand has returned to weakness. The price of raw material methanol has increased, and cost support has strengthened. The liquefied gas market is also in the consolidation stage, and the price difference with DME is difficult to widen. The DME market has stabilized after rising.
According to the commodity market analysis system of SunSirs, the price of raw material methanol increased this week, from 2,450 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week to 2,506 RMB/ton at the end of the week, an increase of 2.27%.
Overall, the current focus of the DME market is unstable, while the supply side is increasing and the demand side is bearish. It is expected that the possibility of a narrow decline in the DME market will increase in the short term.
