SunSirs: China DME Market Operated at a Low and Stable Level Last Week (November 13-17)

Last week (11.3-11.17), the domestic DME market maintained stable operation. According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the average price of DME in the Henan market on November 13th was 3,650 RMB/ton, and on November 17th it was 3,650 RMB/ton. There was no increase or decrease during the cycle, and it decreased by 21% compared to the same period last year.
Last week, the overall stability of the domestic DME market was maintained, with mainstream prices in the Henan market around 3,650 RMB/ton. This week, the price of raw material methanol was weak, and support for DME was weak. The on-site supply has tightened, and some factories have reduced their load operations. However, the enthusiasm for downstream entry into the market is not high, with a focus on just demand and a weak market mentality, resulting in weak production and sales.
According to the Commodity Market Analysis System of SunSirs, the price of raw material methanol fluctuated last week, rising from 2,460 RMB/ton at the beginning of the week to 2,480 RMB/ton at the weekend, an increase of 0.82%. The cost support for DME is weak.
Overall, there are no positive factors supporting the current DME market. On the contrary, under the cover of negative factors, it is expected that the DME market will maintain a weak consolidation operation in the short term.
